About us

OFICINA DE DISEÑO is a San José based design practice, founded in 2017 by Vernon Montero Villalobos and Roberto Navarro Mata. The studio specializes in interior architecture, product design, and brand identity development.

Vernon Montero and Roberto Navarro, both natives of Cartago, Costa Rica, first collaborated in product design. Vernon, a design consultant with a Master’s in Design and Innovation from the Istituto Europeo di Design, and Roberto, a graduate architect from the University of Costa Rica, bring extensive experience to their joint practice.

Before establishing OFICINA DE DISEÑO, they refined their expertise across various design fields, including product, industrial, visual merchandising and interior design, through their work at different studios in both Costa Rica and Spain, shaping their diverse and well-rounded approach to design.
